Biography

Dr. A.B. Rema Shree is a researcher and administrator with 35 years of experience in R&D and infrastructure development. Her doctoral degree was awarded by the University of Calicut, and her research expertise spans a wide range of areas, including: Medicinal, aromatic, and spice plant systematics, Pharmacognosy, Molecular biology, Phytochemistry of natural products /secondary metabolites, Bioprospecting Currently, she holds the significant position of Director Research at the Spices Board, operating under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. In this role, she also oversees the  Research activities, Quality Evaluation Labs and development activities of the Spices Board across the nation. She  was holding the Charge of Secretary National Turmeric Board in its inception period  and now holding the position of laison offices for National Turmeric Board.
